Gannett Co., Inc.
Una de las empresas periodísticas más grandes de EE.UU. Fue fundada por Frank Ernest Gannett (n. 1876–m. 1957), quien en 1906 empezó a comprar pequeños periódicos del norte del estado de Nueva York.

Se constituyó como sociedad anónima en 1923. Sus acciones se transaron por primera vez en la bolsa en 1967. En 1982 inició la publicación de USA Today, el primer periódico nacional de interés general de EE.UU. En 2002, la sociedad era propietaria de alrededor de 94 diarios con un tiraje conjunto de 7,7 millones de ejemplares. La mayoría circula en ciudades pequeñas y medianas. Entre sus periódicos más grandes se encuentran Des Moines Register y Detroit News. Sus oficinas centrales, antiguamente en Rochester, N.Y., se encuentran actualmente en Arlington, Va. También es propietaria de unas 20 estaciones de televisión.
